In an effort to control over-commercialization on Jekyll Island, The Jekyll Island Authority has limited property development to just 35% of the Island. This commitment to environmental stewardship seeks to preserve the Island’s natural habitat, as well as provide guests with a unique escape from the crowds and commercialization that pollute many other resort areas across the United States.
